People who love to eat are always the best people, and those who love to eat healthy are my people
Natasha Morrison

How did my passion for eating and cooking healthy come to life ?
Originally from Europe, I have been used to decent quality ingredients and food since as far as I can remember. The food available to the public always seemed being good quality. I had never noticed that many sick people around me.
Yet, the day I moved to North America to go to college in Montreal, QC, things changed. The reality I knew no longer existed. The supermarkets were filled with artificial food, or rather, the food I could afford with my student budget seemed to come from a different planet. It seemed fake, and bad for health. A high percentage of people seemed to be overweight and sick.
Since that day, I progressively grew my interest into eating healthier, and the importance of having a healthy diet. I progressively became vegan, as I couldn’t participate in buying milk or meat from a thousand cows farm. Not only it seemed ethically wrong to me, it seemed like it would harm my body. Anything coming from unhealthy poorly treated animals did not seem like it would feed my body in any good way. I do know that Europe has also its fair share of low quality meat production and poor treatment of animals, but everything seemed worst in North America. Everything was at a larger scale.
I am not someone who will claim that being vegan is the best way to be healthy. I did my research on the subject, and it has worked great on me for a while. I did recently start adding farm chicken eggs into my diet, because I felt like my body needed the nutrients. I do believe everyone has different needs, we are all unique individuals. However, I will only share vegan cooking on this website. I grew to love to cook vegan. I felt like it was really challenging my creativity, but also was allowing me to maximize my nutrients intake with larger food variety. I was completely vegan for a full 6 years, and I learned so much about what we cook with plants. I am so excited to share with you here, my creations and staple recipes I made over and over throughout the years.
Becoming a certified functional nutrition counselor
As my interest in living to my healthiest and fullest potential grew, I realized I wanted to have a bigger impact on the people around me. I wanted to learn more about the human body and understand why we were living in a society that is so sick. I wanted to understand how the food was impacting us humans, on a physiological level.I found the functional nutrition alliance and signed up for the Full Body System course, which was one of the best decision I did. I feel like I really locked into my purpose. I want to help as many people as I can, to come out of any disease or condition they are going through. Even the craziest disease have meaning, have roots into something deeper. And I am honored to step into this coaching role. Being a functional nutrition practitioner is being an alternative practitioner to help the gap we have in our health care nowadays. Our system is a quick fix system, that doesn’t look for causes, but simply prescribe medication to cover the symptoms. Yet most times, the condition ends up resurfacing because it was never treated at its roots.
